Training & workshops

Learning that connects policy with real family life

Future workshops will combine sound safeguarding principles, accessible communication and responsibly used lived experience.

Our intention

Useful learning, not certificate confetti.

Training only matters when it changes understanding and behaviour. We hope to develop sessions that help families grasp safeguarding expectations and help professionals understand where language, shame, disability or fear can block genuine engagement.

Any workshop will be developed within the trainer’s competence, with appropriate materials, boundaries and referral routes. Specialist subjects will require suitably qualified partners.

Possible themes

Areas we are exploring

Safeguarding foundations

Risk, protective factors, boundaries and responding to concerns.

Accountability without shame

Supporting honest reflection without humiliating or silencing people.

Accessible communication

Working more clearly with neurodivergence, disability and different processing needs.

Family networks

Helping wider family understand protective roles, safe support and realistic limits.

Lived experience in practice

Using personal insight responsibly, without turning one story into a universal answer.

Safer organisations

Confidentiality, escalation, recording, boundaries and referral pathways.

Our own readiness

Training the project needs before training anyone else

  • Designated safeguarding lead and deputy training
  • Adult safeguarding and responding to disclosures
  • Domestic-abuse-informed and trauma-aware peer support
  • Information sharing, data protection and secure recording
  • Online moderation, boundaries, de-escalation and crisis signposting

The founder has completed Level 2 Safeguarding Children and Child Exploitation & Extra-Familial Harm learning. Further course levels, providers and refresher requirements are being checked with appropriate organisations; completed certificates will be recorded, but training will not be treated as proof of competence on its own.
